Volunteers from Pakron Drive in Almaden Valley and Teresa Gibson from Our City Forest came out early on Jan. 15 to plant seven Chinese Pistache trees as part of the neighborhood project. Our City Forest has been providing trees, stakes and expert help to San Jose residents who want to plant trees in their neighborhoods, planting more than 30,000 trees in 10 years. If anyone notices a need for trees, they can contact Our City Forest, which will get the ball rolling. Although they prefer to do several trees at the same time in a neighborhood, Our City Forest will help a resident with just one tree. For more information, call 408.998.7337.
