BVAL to host golf tourney

The third annual Blossom Valley Athletic League golf tournament, a benefit for the 22 schools in the league, will be held on April 28 at the Almaden Golf and Country Club. The 144-player field will tee off in a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, and a 6 p.m. awards dinner will follow the tourney.

Former San Francisco 49ers great Brent Jones, a graduate of Leland High School, is the honorary chairman of the tournament.

The cost is $225 per player, and sponsorships are available from $200 to $2,600. Proceeds help fund the athletic needs at the member schools.
