Only the Shadow Knows--Jan. 9, 11 p.m. A 39-year-old woman living on Villerita Drive reported to police she saw a figure in her backyard while closing her living room blinds.
Family Matters--Jan. 9, 7:35 p.m. A 46-year-old San Jose man was at his daughter's house on Sharmon Palms Lane when a 49-year-old suspect, also of San Jose, confronted him. The suspect arrived looking for the victim's separated wife, whom the suspect is now dating. The suspect started hitting the victim and a brawl ensued. The case was sent to the DA's office.
Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood--Jan. 8, 7:10 p.m. A 46-year-old man caused a disturbance in his Beta Court neighborhood. "Alvin does not like his neighbors ... Alvin was too intoxicated," stated the police log.
Crash Dummy--Jan. 7, 2:05 a.m. A 30-year-old man failed to stop at a stop sign while going eastbound on Fewtrell Drive. He crashed into a northbound vehicle then into a parked car. The man was booked for driving under the influence.
Rocky Mountain High--Jan. 6, 1:43 a.m. A 36-year-old Colorado man, who was causing a disturbance at a local bar earlier, was arrested for driving under the influence. The driver's passenger was taken to the sobering station.
Cousin, Cousiné--Jan. 6, 8:07 p.m. Two boys, one 14, the other 16, both of Nido Drive, and a 16-year-old from San Jose were caught drinking Coronas behind the local movie theater off South Winchester Boulevard. The suspects, all cousins, were cited and released to their grandmother.
Art Critic--Jan. 3. Someone reported a sculpture taken from the front of a building on West Hamilton Avenue between Dec. 30 and Jan. 3.
Bad Behavior--Jan. 3, 12:10 p.m. Police filed a report on two people involved in a road rage incident at Highway 17 and Hamilton Avenue. The suspect had forced the victim to pull over, confronted him, threatened to kill him, then hit him in the head with his hand.
