Police Blotter
Roommate Tension--Jan. 6, 8:45 a.m. A man tried to resolve a conflict between his roommate and someone else by calling police. The roommate punched and attacked him in return. The victim sustained a wound on the back of his head. The suspect was booked.
Young Spender--Jan. 6, 11:12 a.m. A minor was seen removing mail from his backpack. The address that the mail was sent to was not where the boy lived. Police contacted the boy and obtained his confession to stealing from cars and spending credit cards that he found. The suspect was sent to juvenile hall.
Accident--Jan. 7, 7:31 a.m. Two cars got in a major accident at San Tomas Expressway and Campbell Avenue after one of them ran a red light. A man was trapped in one of the cars with major injuries. He was still alive as of 5:30 p.m. that day.
Damaged Goods--Jan. 8, 6 p.m. An unknown suspect broke into a blue 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass. The suspect smashed the front passenger window with a parking block and then took the stereo. A report was filed.
Won't Let Go--Jan. 9, 1:30 p.m. Two people were arguing and one of them went outside. The other followed and hit the first with a large stick that had a metal star attached, first on the leg and then on the head. A police officer was driving by at the time and detained the aggressor. The victim was taken to the hospital. The suspect was booked.
Hit and Run--Jan. 9, 4 p.m. A man turned himself into police after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with a hit-and-run accident the previous day. The suspect was booked.
Lots of Loot--Jan. 10, 6:25 p.m. A man went into the Whole Foods market on S. Bascom Avenue. He took some items from the store, put them in plastic baggies that he took from a cashier station and then left the store. A search of his bag turned up burglary tools and items stolen from a nearby bike store. The suspect was booked.
Wrong Number--Jan. 10, 11:59 p.m. An intoxicated man went into what he thought was his home and fell asleep on a couch. The woman who lived there woke up to get a drink of water and found the man there. He was found to be too drunk to care for himself. The woman did not wish to have the man prosecuted for trespassing. He was booked.
