    Police Blotter

    Bad Timing--Jan 15, 9:30 a.m. A man on East Hamilton Avenue was reported to be violating a restraining order by showing up at his girlfriend's work. When the police arrived they discovered he didn't have a restraining order, but did have an outstanding warrant, and the man was arrested.

    Malicious Mischief--Jan. 15. An unknown suspect on Ravenscourt Avenue poured sugar into a woman's gas tank and slashed her car tires.

    Burglary--Jan. 15, 9:11 p.m. Four suspects robbed a liquor store on West Hamilton Avenue. Two of the suspects, both 17, were apprehended and some of the stolen property was recovered. The two additional suspects were later identified.

    A Big Job--Jan. 16. An unknown suspect rented a "roof pouch" from a store on Whiteoaks Avenue and never returned the item to the company. The incident occurred on Nov. 5, 2001.

    Vacation Hideaway--Jan. 16. An unknown suspect used the victim's credit card to purchase property in Mexico. The incident occurred on East McGlincey Lane, Dec. 15-20, 2001.

    Car Theft--Jan. 16, 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. An unknown suspect on South Bascom Avenue smashed the passenger window of a car and stole a purse and several unpaid bills with the payments enclosed.

    One Too Many--Jan. 17, 11:27 p.m. A man on San Tomas Aquino Road was intoxicated and passed out in his vehicle. When the police arrived, they reported the man was uncooperative and too intoxicated to care about his safety. He was booked and his car was stored.

    Lost It All-- Jan. 19. During the evening a man reported his car stolen by a woman with whom he rented a motel room. Along with his car, the woman stole his pants, cash and laptop computer.

    Hit And Run--Jan. 19, 2 p.m. A 37-year-old male attempted to collect money. The victim didn't agree with the amount owed. The suspect struck him with a metal flashlight on the head, causing a large cut. The suspect fled the scene and the victim was taken to Valley Medical Center, where he required several stitches.

    Runaway Car--Jan. 20, 11:06 p.m. A male lost control of his vehicle due to health problems while driving down West Rincon Avenue. The driver hit several cars.
