Police Blotter
Theft--Jan 20, 1:50 p.m. An unknown suspect removed emblems and tire valves from vehicles in a car port area on Railway Avenue. The incident occurred over several days.
Tool Time Two Times--Jan. 22, 8:00 a.m. Two suspects, ages 35 and 37, were seen by a witness on Van Dell Avenue loading a metal box containing tools into a truck. By the time the witness turned around to read the license plates the suspects had driven off. There have been several unreported thefts at the same location during the past two weeks.
Pray Quest--Jan. 22, 10:07 p.m. A 40-year-old male standing at the corner of Westmont and Star avenues was reported as looking suspicious. When the police investigated the incident the man said he was praying. The man had four minor outstanding warrants totaling $1,000.
Not Licensed--Jan. 22, 11:00 p.m. A 19-year-old male was stopped at the intersection of Bascom Avenue and Campisi Way and found to be driving with a suspended license. He also had outstanding warrants of $2,000.
No Gentleman--Jan. 22, 3:30 p.m. A 33-year-old male and a 32-year-old female, who are married, got into an argument on the freeway. They stopped the car at S. Bascom Avenue and the husband told his wife and her son to get out of the car. The man then grabbed the women by the hair and pulled her out of the car. He fled the scene, leaving the woman and son behind.
Petty Theft--Jan. 24, 2:00-3:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a wallet from a shopping cart on S. Bascom Avenue.
Malicious Behavior--Jan. 25. A 23-year-old male drove his car into the rear of a woman's car at the intersections of Smith Avenue and Jones Way. He pulled her out of the car by the arm and drove the woman to his home. The woman reported the incident two days later to the police and wants to press charges.
High-Tech Theft--Jan. 25. An unknown suspect removed Federal Express packages containing computer chips from a business on Dell Avenue. The incident occurred in December.
Burglary--Jan. 28, 1:32 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed a window on S. Bascom Avenue and removed the window track, triggering the alarm. The building was surrounded and searched but there was no break-in.
