    Police Blotter

    Attempted Burglary--Jan. 28. An unknown suspect attempted to kick in the door of a business on East Campbell Avenue. When the police arrived there was no apparent break-in. The incident occurred over the past few days.

    Arson--Jan. 28, 5:30 p.m. An unknown suspect went into the bathrooms on the Budd Avenue side of John D. Morgan Park and ignited the paper towel dispenser.

    Petty Theft--Jan. 29. A victim on Apricot Way threw out some old checks, which were then stolen and used to purchase $2,000 worth of miscellaneous goods. The incident occurred during the past six weeks.

    Recovered Stolen Vehicle--Jan. 29, 6 p.m. to 5:40 a.m. An unknown suspect stole a car from the front of a home on West Hamilton Avenue. The car was recovered approximately a mile away.

    Grand Theft--Jan. 29, 10:20 p.m. to 12:25 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone, cleaning equipment and a wallet from an unlocked van on Bracebridge Court.

    Parole Violation and Theft--Jan. 29, 6:35 p.m. A 43-year-old male walked into a store on E. Hamilton Avenue and left without paying for a shower head and tools. The suspect was caught and booked into jail.

    Theft--Jan. 30, 4-8:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a manager's wallet from a desk in a store on E. Hamilton Avenue. The manager had left the door to his office opened.

    Battery--Jan. 30, 3:40 p.m. Five unknown suspects on Sunberry Drive and Hamilton Avenue asked a man if he had any money. The man said no and was punched in the face. The suspects ran south on Dunster Drive.

    Identity Theft and False Impersonation--Jan. 30. An unknown suspect on Hedegard Avenue used another person's identity to open a bank account and withdraw funds.

    Stolen Car--Jan. 30. A woman on Lenor Way reported that her car was stolen from the front of her home during the night. The incident occurred on the evening of Jan. 29.

    Telephone Fraud--An unknown suspect was making international calls by accessing a residence's outside phone line. The incident occurred between Jan. 23 and Feb. 1.

    Drunk in Public--Feb. 2, 8:50 p.m. A 38-year-male was intoxicated and causing a disturbance at a laundromat on S. Winchester Boulevard.
