    Police Blotter

    Accident--Feb. 8, 3:58 a.m. A woman fell asleep at the wheel while going west on Civic Center Drive. She destroyed a VTA sign and a tree on the corner of Harrison Avenue. Her car ended up on the other side of the retaining wall, along the south side of the Campbell Library.

    Petty Theft--Feb. 8, 6:30 p.m. An employee left a computer next to her car on East Hacienda Avenue. When the employee returned to the car, the computer had been stolen.

    Driving While Intoxicated--Feb. 8, 11:32 p.m. A 37-year-old woman driving southbound on Leigh Avenue collided with another car. The woman hit the southwest curb of Leigh Avenue and Cabana Drive and went airborne. The woman's car cleared the shrubbery and landed in a residence's yard. When the police arrived, they determined that she was intoxicated. She was transported to Valley Medical Center.

    Drinking and Driving--Feb. 9, 5:56 p.m. A 29-year-old male was driving on W. Sunnyoaks Avenue when he lost control of his car and ran into a tree. The suspect fled the scene with damage to his left front tire. The police found him in an alleyway at Alpha Court and he was identified and arrested for driving while intoxicated.

    Vandalism--Feb. 10, 9 p.m.-10 a.m. A woman whose car was parked on El Patio Court and Cypress Lane discovered that the driver and passenger sides of her car were scratched when she went to get in her car the next day.

    Causing a Disturbance--Feb. 9, 10 p.m. A 34-year-old male was causing a disturbance on S. Winchester Boulevard in the Campbell Plaza. When police were called, the officers determined he was intoxicated and he was arrested.

    Theft--Feb. 12. A man left a video camera on a restaurant table at E. Campbell Avenue. An unknown suspect stole the camera after the man moved to a different table. The incident occurred between Feb. 8 and Feb. 12.

    Hit and Run Property Damage--Feb. 13, 1:30 a.m. A man drove his car into a pole on the southeast corners of Bascom and Hamilton avenues. The car was left in the roadway and the man went home. The man, who was apparently intoxicated, returned at 7 a.m. to recover the vehicle.
