    Police Blotter

    Grand Theft--Feb. 13, 7:45 p.m. A man working in a store on S. Winchester Avenue left a bank bag and wallet on the counter to help a customer. When he returned the bag was gone.

    Auto Burglary--Feb. 14, 4 a.m. An unknown suspect broke a car window on Kuehnis Drive with a rock, took a briefcase and fled.

    Stolen Car Recovered--Feb. 15, 12:04 a.m. A man on Sobrato Drive called the Campbell Police Department to say his car was stolen and was possibly seen going northbound on Winchester Avenue. The man also described a second car that was involved in the theft. The CPD saw a car matching the second car's description at 1 a.m. in the downtown area. The car was stopped by the CPD and the suspects were taken in for a lineup. A 23-year-old San Jose man and a 26-year-old Washington state man were positively identified by the individual whose car was stolen. The car was located in the area of Fourth Street and Sanford Avenue.

    Child Assault--Feb. 16, 8:42 p.m. A girl ran away because her father allegedly hit her in the arm. The girl's brother, who witnessed the incident, said his father did not hit his sister.

    Auto Burglary--Feb. 16, 10 a.m.-5:45 p.m. An unknown suspect broke into a car on the second level of a parking structure on S. Bascom Avenue. The suspect took a stereo, CDs, a pair of leather gloves and the car's registration.

    Theft--Feb. 17, 2 p.m. A man staying at a hotel on E. Campbell Avenue inadvertently left his medical air compressor behind. When he called the hotel to see if the employees could locate it, the compressor could not be found.

    Theft--Feb. 17, 3 p.m. A woman left her purse on the ground at a car wash on Winchester Boulevard. She moved her car to a different location and then remembered she had left her purse behind. She went back to get her purse, but it was gone.

    Firearms Removed--Feb. 17. A woman came to the Campbell Police Station to charge that her husband had not complied with a court order to relinquish his firearms. The CPD responded by removing the firearms from storage and destroying them.

    Drunk in Public--Feb. 18., 12:22 a.m. The CPD responded to a report that several homeless men where fighting in an abandoned business on W. Campbell Avenue.
