Crosses on display at St. Joseph's Catholic Church
Saint Joseph's Church, 725 Washington St., on the corners of Washington and Lafayette streets in Santa Clara, will display a variety of large crosses from the collection of Campbell resident Ernie Reda on March 19 at 11 a.m. Reda has collected 10,822 crosses and is in the Guinness Book of World Records for owning the largest collection of crosses.
This is the first time the crosses will be on display at St. Joseph's Church. The display will be available for viewing before and after Mass. There will also be refreshments. For further information, contact Jo Tamone at 408.264.8658 or Ernie Reda at 408.378.7786.
SC Players feature local residents
Two Campbell residents, producer Ross Browning and director Gladie Tuscher, are part of the Santa Clara Players production The Swan Song.
The Mike Johnson play is being shown at the Triton Museum in the Hall Pavilion, located at the corners of Don and Warburton avenues in Santa Clara.
The play will be shown Feb. 22-March 16, 8 p.m.; March 7 and 14 at 8 p.m.; and March 3 and 10 at 2:30 p.m. It is open seating and tickets cost $9. For more information and reservations, call 408.248.7993.
City council OKs parking panels
The Campbell City Council, on Feb. 19, approved final designs for the art panels being installed on the Second Street Garage. With minor design modifications, the council approved six panels with a tree and fruit theme. The approval puts the panels into the final fabrication stage. The project is scheduled for completion in late spring to coincide with the completion of the parking lot.
The panels will be backlit and mounted on the concrete walls of the Second and Third Street garage. A small dedication is planned for May.
Campbell Middle School to perform 'Guys and Dolls'
At Campbell Middle School, 295 Cherry Lane, fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students will be presenting the musical production of Guys and Dolls, March 13-16 at 7:30 p.m.
The Frank Loesser 1930s musical is directed by Campbell Middle School teacher Jeff Risk. He has been working with more than 80 students since mid-January, rehearsing for the production.

Special Olympics
Special Olympics is looking for volunteers to assist in its spring sports competitions in tennis, athletics, aquatic, golf and, for the first time, bocce. It will be holding a volunteer orientation March 12 at 7 p.m. at the Old Almaden Winery Community Center, 5730 Chambertin Drive.
No experience is necessary to be a coach, although volunteers must be 16 years old or accompanied by an adult. Coaches are also needed year-round to assist teaching 14 different sports.

AAUW holds open house for women
The San Jose Branch of the American Association of University Women is holding an open house at its headquarters, 1165 Minnesota Ave., March 14 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The event will include refreshments and offer interested women the chance to meet branch members, learn about programs and activities and hear from Linda Larson, president of the Northern California chapter of the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation.
