    Police Blotter

    Bad Marks--Feb. 19-23 An unknown suspect vandalized plants, left beer bottles on the property and wrote an obscene message on a bulletin board at a local school.

    Indecent Exposure--Feb. 23, 11:21 p.m. A male in his 30s was observed masturbating by a woman who was jogging on Los Gatos Creek trail. The suspect could not be located.

    Bad Habit--Feb. 24. A 42-year-old male borrowed his roommate's car on Feb. 22, and hasn't been seen since. Police were told the man has a drug problem and may be in San Francisco or Oakland.

    Broken Glass--Feb. 24, 8:15 a.m. Someone smashed a window on the east side of the Bank of the West at 2395 S. Winchester Blvd. Police said the suspect did not enter the bank and the window was boarded up.

    Worker Mishap--Feb. 24 12:36 p.m. A construction worker fell off a ladder while working inside a house, sustaining an open-compound fracture to his right ankle.

    Middle Ground--Feb. 24, 5:14 a.m. Police stopped a man after he drove over a median and appeared to be driving out of control. Police determined he was driving under the influence and booked him on a misdemeanor charge.

    When People Attack--Feb. 25, 4 p.m. Someone bit another person on the arm for no apparent reason. The victim has a restraining order against the suspect.

    Found Property--Feb. 26, 9:44 a.m. Two commercial grade safes and a combination lock suitcase were found in a dumpster. Each had been forcibly pried open.

    On Another Note--Feb. 27, 3:30 p.m. Three apartment residents received threatening letters from a former renter. The apartment manager was informed.

    Attempted Escape--Feb. 28 3:30 a.m. Four men tried to elude the police by driving with their lights off after an officer observed them prowling behind a building. One suspect jumped into the intended escape vehicle while it was moving. They were found to be in possession of four stereos with the serial numbers filed off, a butterfly knife and a bag of computer chips. They were caught and booked.
