Paddy Keenan will perform an evening of Irish traditional instrumental music on March 7, at 8 p.m. at The King's Head, 201 Orchard City Drive, Campbell. Keenan is widely regarded as the most accomplished and exciting uilleann piper of his generation and has performed all over North America and Europe. He will be joined by master guitarist Junji Shirota for their first South Bay appearance. Keenan began playing the pipes at age 10, and played his first major concert at the Gaiety Theater in Dublin when he was 14. Keenan is the founding member of the influential 1970s traditional Irish musical group Bothy Band. Tickets for the performance are $13, or $12 for Celtic Society members.
