    Police Blotter

    Auto Burglary--March 8, 12 p.m.-4 a.m. A car modified for street racing, and parked in a driveway on Redding Road, was stripped by unknown suspects. The suspects removed the car's wheels, seats, stereo and computer alarm system. The car's burglar alarm was not turned on.

    Disturbance and Vandalism--March 8, 2 a.m. Several unknown suspects tried to "crash" a large party on Dell Avenue, but were not allowed in. A fight broke out and the suspects pulled out guns and baseball bats. During the fight, several cars were damaged in the parking lot and several gunshots were fired. There were no known injuries and no descriptions of the suspects were available. All the suspects fled prior to the police arriving.

    Dangerous Dog--March 8, 9:39 a.m. A Rottweiler-Labrador retriever mix breed dog broke loose from his backyard chain, found a cat and killed it. The dog was picked up by Animal Control and quarantined.

    Driving Drunk--March 9, 10:59 p.m. A man was driving intoxicated on Dell Avenue and lost control of his car. He collided with a fence, bushes and a building. He was arrested and booked into jail.

    Deceased Woman--March 14, 9 a.m. A 74-year-old woman on W. Rincon Avenue was found dead in her bathtub. The woman had a history of heart problems and her doctor signed the death certificate.

    Suspicious Person--March 16. A 13-year-old girl noticed a white male, between the ages of 28 and 31, on two separate occasions, opening and closing a knife while observing her at the Campbell Library, 77 Harrison Ave. The girl also reported the man looked through her school papers. The incident occurred between March 14 and 15.

    Auto Burglary--March 16, 12 p.m.-8:30 a.m. An unknown suspect on Ensenada Drive smashed a car window and took the car's stereo.

    Illegal Drugs--March 16, 11:55 p.m. Two 19-year-old men were caught smoking marijuana in a car. They were both cited.

    Lewd Behavior--March 17, 3:45 p.m. A 49-year-old male was seen by witnesses committing a lewd act, while looking under the dressing room doors in a store on S. San Tomas Aquino Road. He also was seen committing additional lewd acts in front of two female juveniles. The suspect fled, but the police located him on Saratoga and Cox avenues.

    Elderly Injury-- March 17, 5 p.m. A 88-year-old woman on Flamingo Drive was discovered by her niece laying on her living room floor with an arm and leg injury from a fall. The woman was unconscious and taken to Valley Medical Center, but was breathing.
