After a positive response from readers last year to our first-ever Best of Campbell issue, we're back again with our annual reader survey of the best that Campbell has to offer. We wanted to know what makes Campbell such a great place in which to live, work and play. And you told us.

A ballot with more than 60 choices began running in the newspaper Feb. 20 and ran for three consecutive weeks. Readers voted for their favorites either on ballots printed in the newspaper or online. Readers, through their votes, decided what would go in this section. Our job was to tabulate the ballots and write the stories--a pleasant task that allowed our staff an opportunity to learn a little more about the community.

What we've learned from this annual project is that Campbell is a very special place, and those who live or work in the community really love it. It's clear to us that choosing the best--the crême de la crême--was not an easy task.

Recognizing what a difficult task it was to choose the best in a community that's considered "the best" by most of our readers, we extend our heartiest thanks. Without you, this section would not exist.
