    What happened to decent English?

As a loyal Campbellite, I do appreciate your newspaper, The Campbell Reporter, but please. The police blotter in the April 3 edition has "an 88-year-old woman .... laying on her living room floor." What has happened to decent English? An 88-year-old woman was lying on her living room floor." Our newspapers ought to be models. I am afraid this time that you are quite the opposite. You lie down; you lay an egg, which is presently the case.
