Police Blotter
Home Invasion--April 10, 6:50 a.m. A family on Almarida Drive reported that they were the victims of a home invasion robbery. They said there are two suspects, both Hispanic males. One wore a white T-shirt, khaki pants and a black hooded sweater and the other wore a blue or black pullover sweater with blue pants and black boots.
Jinx the Shrink--April 12, 8 p.m. Someone rummaged through desk drawers in a psychologist's office and took a tape recorder.
Tricky Teller--April 13, 1:22 p.m. A 20-year-old Santa Cruz woman was booked on charges of grand theft after she tried to cash a stolen check for an undisclosed amount at the Wells Fargo on Hamilton Avenue. The woman works at the World Savings Bank on Stevens Creek Boulevard and obtained the check from a customer.
Missing Driver--April 13, 10:20 p.m. The driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run accident is still at large. The accident took place at Campbell and Union avenues, and the suspect fled. The vehicle was located on the upper level of a parking garage and impounded.
Hard Knock Life--April 15, 6:31 p.m. A 32-year-old man was booked after he banged on his girlfriend's door because she wouldn't open it, causing a dent, and damaged her car with a rock.
Jeepers Creepers--April 16, 12:22 p.m. A white male was peeking through the kitchen window while a female resident was at home. When she saw him, he said "Sorry," and left. Police have not been able to find him.
Vacation Vandal--April 16. A home was burglarized while the resident was out of town. The victim discovered that jewelry and other items were missing. Police think the suspect, who has not been found, may have entered through the rear door.
Suspicious Shower--April 17, 8:20 p.m. A W. Rincon Avenue resident told police that an unknown person entered his apartment through a sliding door and took a shower.
Sleeping it Off--April 18, 4:45 a.m. A 34-year-old male and a 35-year-old female were booked after they were found to be in possession of methamphetamines and hypodermic needles. Police noticed the couple sleeping in their car near the intersection of Stokes Street and Southwest Expressway. The couple consented to a search, during which the drugs were found.
