Lovers Quarrel--April 19, 11:58 p.m. A couple was having an argument at their residence on Almarida Drive. A man pushed a woman onto a bed and grabbed her arms, causing minor redness. The case was sent to the DA's office.
Hide and Seek--April 19, 9 a.m. Police arrested a 38-year-old San Jose man for a $15,000 warrant for spousal battery. When police arrived at the residence on Dell Avenue, the suspect hid in the closet. The suspect refused to come out, so police were forced to pull him out. They eventually wrestled him to the ground and arrested him.
Thanks, Pal--April 18, 10:45 p.m. Police had arrested a 25-year-old San Jose man. He brought a friend to the station and was questioned by police officers about his friend's drug state. The friend was "evasive about his identity" and it was discovered that he had three warrants totaling $37,000. One was for misdemeanor DUI and another was for battery on a police officer.
Twice Ain't Nice--April 18, 10:25 a.m. A 29-year-old San Jose man arrived at the police station to retrieve his car. The night before, the suspect had fallen asleep behind the wheel and ended up at the Hamilton Avenue off-ramp. He was never arrested. Tuesday the man was still under the influence of PCP and "acting quite bizarre." Police did not release his car but instead took him to Valley Medical Center where a blood sample was taken. The suspect was booked.
Airhead--April 18. An unknown suspect removed the airbag from a car parked on White Oaks Avenue.
Noisy Fugitive--April 17, 11:28 p.m. A 23-year-old man was arrested on a $5,000 warrant for petty theft. The suspect and three of his friends were reported jumping their bikes and making noise around a loading dock at a shopping center.
Just Plain Drunk--April 17, 10:27 p.m. A 64-year-old transient man was reported down in the bushes near Capri Drive and Hacienda Avenue. The man was not injured, "just intoxicated."
Check Fraud--April 17. Two victims had their wallets stolen, one at a Hamilton Avenue restaurant and the other at a theater. The suspects had used each of their credit cards. Both victims filed reports and canceled their cards.
