    Prom Night Safety

    Parents, administrators and students take steps to ensure a problem-free night


    Committees and students at area high schools are preparing for their upcoming proms. Along with the anticipation and excitement that goes along with the annual spring event, parents, administrators and students err on the safe side. Use of alcohol and drugs, cohabitation in hotel rooms and drunken driving are all major concerns. The keys to ensuring an ideal prom night, according to event planners, are understanding and communication. That way everyone, including these one-night-only Cinderellas and Prince Charmings, will have a safe and happy night to remember.   More
