Unneighborly Activity--May 2, 8:24 p.m. When a man living on Superior Drive refused to loan his tools to two men who knocked at his door, the bigger man-- 6 feet 3 inches, 225 pounds, dressed in a red and gray flannel shirt, and blue jeans--punched him.
Inappropriate Behavior-- May 1, 9:32 p.m. A 50-year-old man caught urinating on Hamilton Avenue Saturday night was discovered to be severely intoxicated. Police transported him to the county sobering station.
Belligerent "Gas Out" Advocate--April 30, 5:20 p.m. The day that many Californians opted to boycott gas stations in attempts to lower rising gas prices, Campbell police spotted a 28-year-old man at the Sunnyoaks Shell station on Winchester Blvd. yelling and swearing at passers by about the "Gas Out." According to the police report, the man was extremely agitated. He was found to be under the influence of crank, and had two warrants totaling $30,000.
Free Beer--April 30, 4:43 p.m. Two 35-year-old men grabbed a pack of beer from Campbell Liquors on East Campbell Avenue and fled. They were located in front of the Campbell Library on Harrison Avenue and arrested.
Lost Weapon--April 21. A 50-year-old woman who lives on Sheffield Avenue phoned the police on April 30 distressed. She had wrapped her black, 9 mm handgun in a newspaper earlier in the week to hide it, and had accidentally thrown the newspaper away.
Indecent Proposals--April 29, 6:26 p.m. A 34-year-old man seated in Campbell Park Thursday, was observed propositioning teenage girls and young women to "have sex with him." A 20-year-old woman reported that the man had propositioned two girls and herself. The suspect turned out to have $10,000 in warrants.
