New community garden offers residents the chance to get back to the earth and make a contribution to the Second Harvest Food Bank

Campbell's new community garden is giving its residents a recreational outlet and a new way to reconnect with Mother Earth. The 39-plot garden, which opened on May 12, is along Campbell Technology Drive at the new Edith Morley Park. Lucky gardeners assigned plots commit to cultivating a averaging 10-by-20 feet in size. According to rules, they can grow no plants taller than 6 feet, must tend the garden regularly and forego any use of pesticides or herbicides. Gardeners supply their own small tools, hoses, seeds and plants.   More
