Police Blotter
Ganging Up--June 12, 12:30 a.m. A Campbell man was physically assaulted and robbed by two unidentified suspects as he was walking up the stairs to his apartment. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
Second Story Stunt--June 13. A Campbell man was transported to emergency protective services after he threw a chair through the second floor window of his home and then jumped out the window, landing on a car. Police determined him to be a danger to himself.
House Fire--June 14, 1:50 p.m. A single alarm fire caused extensive damage to a home on Chapman Avenue. None of the residents were home at the time.
Unsupervised Visit--June 14, 10:33 a.m. A 36-year-old Los Gatos woman was arrested after taking her 3-year-old daughter for a ride in the car. The woman was supposed to visit the child inder supervision by a county social worker. She lured the child into the car at Campbell Park. The social worker called the police, who stopped the woman at the corner of Hamilton and Central avenues and arrested her, giving the child back to the social worker.
Vehicle Vandalism--June 14. Eggs, rice, beans and oil were smeared on a victim's Toyota Camry after it was parked in the wrong parking stall at an apartment complex on Nido Drive.
Dumped Chemicals--June 16, 1:45 p.m. The Campbell Fire Department took some chemicals that were found dumped on Cristich Lane. A plastic bin that was found on the street contained chemical test kits and low doses of cyanide capsules. Police determined that the contents had been stolen from the Camden Community Center the night before.
Car Fire--June 17, 2 a.m. A car that caught on fire near Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Way had to be towed after it was burned beyond repair. The occupants left the car and police located them about a mile away from the scene. The driver was booked for a warrant for driving with a suspended license.
Egg Toss--June 17. A suspect threw eggs at a Whiteoaks Avenue resident's house and car, punctured three of the car tires and dumped motor oil on the victim's driveway and front porch. Police are determining possible suspects.
