Police Blotter
Battle of the Bay--June 28, 9:50 p.m. Two people exiting an Oakland A's game were engaged in an argument and left for home. While driving in Fremont, the suspect hit the female victim. The two continued on the freeway at Hamilton Avenue and Highway 17. When the suspect stopped the car, the victim jumped out and ran to a local restaurant for help. The suspect fled.
On the Lookout--June 28, 8:08 p.m. The suspect, flashing a black, semi-automatic gun in his waistband, demanded money from a clerk at the 7-Eleven on 2335 S. Winchester Blvd. After taking the money, the suspect fled southbound down Winchester. Police are looking for a Hispanic man, aged 18 to 28 years old, about 5-foot-11 and weighing 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt pulled up over the lower portion of his face and khaki pants.
Having Fun--June 27, 11:30 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. An unknown suspect threw a rock through the front window of a residence on Ecker Court. The victim reported the incident 45 minutes after the crime occurred.
Having Fun, Part II--June 27, 9:45 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. An unknown suspect threw rocks and broke two windows on the west side of a building on E. Hamilton Avenue.
Sense a Pattern Yet?--June 27, 6:30 p.m. to 8:55 a.m. An unknown suspect paintballed the exterior of a building on W. Hamilton Avenue. The suspect reportedly broke the front window with a rock.
West Side Story--June 26, 11:47 p.m. A group of three males in their 20s, and another pair of males were involved in an altercation. The trio said they were "Norteño," while one of the two men said he was "Chicano." While attempting to flee, the trio punched and kicked the Chicano victim several times. As the second victim attempted to intervene, the trio turned on him, kicking and punching him, too. The suspects fled in a white Toyota Tercel hatchback and a gray Honda Accord.
Fight--June 26, 9:50 p.m. Two suspects got into a verbal argument and began punching and kicking one another. Neither desired prosecution. Both complained of pain.
Rubber Check--June 26, 4:45 p.m.. Two suspects attempted to pass a fraudulent check at a wheel store on Salmar Avenue.
