Debbie Farmer attempts to explain "Why?"

    Ring the Bell

You would have to have been living in a cave if you haven't noticed that almost all pay phones don't allow incoming calls. What is the deal with that? I've heard that it is to cut down on drug deals. Oh please, that is stupid. Can anyone tell me what kind of self-respecting drug-dealer doesn't have a cell phone?

There are still a few of us who can barely afford to have a phone at home, let alone afford a cell phone. I can personally tell you that it is a major pain in the butt when you page someone in an emergency not to have a phone number for them to call you back.

Honestly, this has to be one of the most ineffective moves of the war on drugs. I would bet that if they fixed the pay phones so that they could accept incoming calls, it would not affect the number of drug deals at all.

So I beg all the powers that be, please bring back incoming calls to payphones.
