Runaway Quarterback--July 27, 12:34 a.m. A 38-year-old male was chased, tackled and taken into custody after an officer tried to stop him for a bicycle violation on Hamilton Avenue. The suspect fled because of an outstanding $60,000 drug warrant.
Big Bully--July 28, 9:00 a.m. A 38-year-old male and a 38-year-old female were engaged in an argument on W. Hamilton Avenue. The male grabbed the female's neck and then her arm, and lifted her off the ground. He was arrested, and an emergency protection order was issued.
Big Bully II--July 28, 2:10 p.m. Officers responded to a verbal disturbance and found a 31-year-old female victim who had marks on her arms after a 28-year-old man had grabbed her and thrown her down. The victim had been trying to move the suspect's clothes out of the residence.
Elder Abuse--July 28, 7:00 p.m. During a dispute, a man shoved his ex-wife's grandmother against a wall. The suspect was gone when the police arrived.
Vehicular Target Practice--July 28, 8:00 p.m. A 34-year-old male was seen knocking over trash cans with his car on Ridgeley. An officer found him on a porch, intoxicated.
Criminal's Oversight--Aug. 1, 11 a.m. A resident of an apartment complex on Union Avenue noticed his old registration tag on another car in the same lot. The tag had been lifted from his license plate, which was stolen in July. The registered owner of the car was contacted and confessed the deed. The case was sent to the district attorney's office.
Unfair Advantage--July 31, 6:08 p.m. Four suspects were cited by police after they were caught stealing from a store on East Campbell Avenue. All four had challenged the store owner to a fight.
