A mom's summertime prayer

    Speak Out

Thank you to a supportive community

It has been just a few short months since our son, Richie Ang, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I cannot describe how grateful we are to a very wonderful, supportive community. We appreciate all of the people who have come to our aid.

We have recently moved to Campbell, and Greg Jones of Jones Masonry here in Campbell was kind enough to donate a chimney inspection and report prior to our move.

There are many other people whom we don't even know who contributed to the Richie Ang fund. Thank you for your help and kind thoughts. And please continue to pray for us.

In Richie's own words, "Thank you to all those who helped me. I know God will help you, too. And I'm sure he will heal me very soon. Please, God, help me increase my weight, clear my stuffy nose and take away my pain."

    Correction

Campbell Pool and Pizza, at 2097 S. Bascom Ave., will not be changing its hours of operation, as reported in last week's Council Watch ("Pizza parlor ordered to change hours of operation," Aug. 4). The Campbell Planning Commission had suggested that the establishment serve beer and wine until 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The parlor--recently renamed Champions Pool, Foos and Games--will still open at noon and close at 2 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. The names of co-owner Phil Schlaefer and former owner Bob Matsuura were also spelled incorrectly. The Campbell Reporter regrets the errors.
