Police Blotter
Hair Pulling--Aug. 2, 10 p.m. A 74-year-old man grabbed a woman by the hair and by the throat and threatened to kill her if she went to the police. An emergency protective restraining order was granted and the suspect was arrested.
Saved--Aug. 4, 2:22 a.m. A 39-year-old man got into an argument with a woman. He physically restrained her and did not allow her to leave the residence. He finally released her when she said she was going to vomit. She fled the residence and called police. The suspect was gone when police arrived. There have been several prior incidents of domestic violence. An emergency protective restraining order was issued.
Yard Fight--Aug. 4 1:41 a.m. A 37-year-old San Jose man came to pick up his wife from a 23-year-old Campbell man's apartment. The 23-year-old, who is the woman's boyfriend, did not like this. The two men fought in the front yard.
Toilet Paper--Aug. 4, 4:35 p.m. Unknown suspects lit toilet paper on fire and damaged the towel dispenser in a men's restroom on Budd Avenue. Three male suspects were allegedly seen running from the bathroom by an anonymous witness. A report was taken.
Past Curfew--Aug. 4, 9:18 p.m. A 31-year-old woman got upset with her 12-year-old daughter for being out too late. The woman punched her daughter once in the arm and once in the leg. There were no visible injuries.
Sale Rage--Aug. 5, 12:46 a.m. A 39-year-old man started a fight with a customer inside a store on Winchester Avenue. The victim did not desire prosecution. The suspect was determined to be unable to care for himself. He was booked.
No Sale--Aug. 5, 2:00 a.m. A 30-year-old man tried to enter a neighbor's apartment in his Gale Drive apartment building. When the renter confronted the suspect, the suspect tried to pick a fight with him. The suspect was determined to be unable to care for himself. He was booked.
Slap Happy--Aug. 5, 7:21 p.m. During an argument, the suspect slapped the victim's back. The case was referred to the D.A.
Don't Shoot--Aug. 5, 7:26 p.m. Two 42-year-old subjects were intoxicated and got into a verbal argument. Nine firearms were taken for safekeeping. Both subjects agreed to the removal of the firearms.
