Stay-at-home mom
In society I'd say that keeping them safe is probably my biggest concern. At home, it's trying to keep my voice down. By the end of the day I'm saying, "How can you speak to me like that?" and it's exactly how I speak to them all day. Kid lesson? It taught me how to love. I think of my mother-in-law, and how just 30 years ago she was in my spot and you see that your kids are going to grow up. It helps you to finally understand your parents.

All the images in society, and the constant images on TV and from the media, it's difficult keeping them away from that. There are so many images constantly bombarding them all the time. Mommy wisdom? Living in the moment, definitely. Doing the best you can do to appreciate each moment with your kids. It's hard because they want to do so many things. Just go and do it and have fun.

Total mom
I'd say in society today it's raising them with good moral values. There's so much out there and so many influences that you have no control over. Parenting pearl? It's opened up a whole new world. It's a different life now. I can't imagine my life without my kids. And I can't ever imagine them having the same feelings for me that I have for them. I mean, they're going to grow up and be adults ... and you know how adults feel about their parents.

You know all the things that happen in this world, like Columbine, just the news is bad. Our kids are pretty young and don't watch the news, but just keeping it away from them is a challenge. It's really hard for them to understand. It's hard for us, let alone our children. Lessons in love? It cracked open my heart. I just felt love like I've never felt before. Even with my husband, whom I love a lot. It's just a completely different kind of love.
