Police Blotter
Heckled Neck--Aug. 19, 4:50 p.m. A 31-year-old Dunster Drive woman was booked into jail after she choked her husband, causing scratches to his neck. The suspect also had a warrant out for her arrest for brandishing a weapon.
Offensive Driving--Aug. 19, 5 p.m. A 28-year-old man was booked into jail for driving his car into a tree on Hacienda Avenue while under the influence of alcohol. The suspect tried to back his car away from the tree, but was unable to do so. He was bleeding from the mouth and told witnesses he didn't want the police to be called.
Skater's Advocate--Aug. 20. An unknown suspect placed cement in anti-skateboarding holes on the ground and moved a metal lunch table that had been bolted to the ground.
Missing Cable--Aug. 22. An unknown suspect stole 300 feet of traffic signal cable left outside a fenced construction area on N. Second Street.
Juvenile Crime--Aug. 22, 9:04 p.m. A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old were taken into custody, cited and released to their parents after police caught them attempting to burglarize a building on S. San Tomas Aquino Road. The suspects attempted to flee but were captured after they were blocked in by a police perimeter.
Hide Out--Aug. 24, 12:36 a.m. A 21-year-old San Jose man was booked into jail after he was found hiding in a storage locker on W. Hamilton Avenue. Police had an $8,000 warrant out for the man's arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
Petty Thief--Aug. 24, 6:31 p.m. A 21-year-old San Jose man was booked into jail after he stole gum and a pack of cigarettes as he left a gas station on S. Bascom Avenue. The clerk at the gas station tried to stop the suspect from taking the items, and the suspect punched the clerk in the nose, breaking it. The suspect fled and was later located by police at a bar on Bascom Avenue.
