    Living in Campbell

My wife and I were married in 1963 in the Grange Hall on First Street. That building is still there, but it has become a church. In 1977 we bought my wife's parents' home in Campbell. It seemed outrageous, at the time, that anyone would spend in the neighborhood of $75,000 for a house in any city.

Living in Campbell has been a delightful experience from the very first. Thank heavens for Rosemary School.

Our children are products of the Campbell school district.

It wasn't long before we began reaping the benefits of living in Campbell. The thing that impressed me is the skill of the police department and the paramedics.

My son reacts to milk with an anaphylactic episode that is life threatening. The 911 operators have the Campbell police, the fire department and the paramedics at our front door within minutes. They have saved his life so many times that the emergency team began calling him by his first name. I'll always be grateful to them. It's due to the Campbell emergency-response team that my son has reached the ripe old age of 27.

Thank you Campbell. It was a great place then, and it's a great place now.
