Police Blotter
Late Night Fight--Aug. 25, 2:20 a.m. Three intoxicated men, ages 32, 33 and 35, shouted racial slurs at customers in a restaurant on S. Bascom Avenue. One of the suspects approached a black male and challenged him to a fight. Another black male, 35, allegedly told the suspects to back off, at which time the 32-year-old man punched him in the face. The victim then punched the suspect back, rendering him unconscious. That suspect was taken to the hospital. The 35-year-old suspect fled and was later located by police and arrested. The third suspect was questioned at the scene. The case has been sent to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.
Striking Performance--Aug. 26, 9:30 p.m. Police were still searching for a 21-year-old man who reportedly punched his girlfriend in the face several times during an argument on Bucknall Road. The suspect took the victim's keys and her car, driving it to his residence. After parking the car, he left it there and drove off in his own vehicle, a red Honda.
Picture This--Aug. 27, 6 p.m. A 24-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man got into an argument in an apartment on Sharmon Palms Lane. The woman threw wine at the man and the man threw a picture frame at the woman. The case has been sent to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.
Birthday Suit--Aug. 28, 12:22 p.m. A man reported seeing another man walking northbound on the dirt shoulder of Camden Avenue, wearing only white tennis shoes. The first man, who was in his car, stopped when he saw the suspect, who appeared to be grabbing clothing from some bushes. The suspect then fled. The nudist is described as a white male in his 40s, 5-feet 8-inches tall, medium build, short gray hair and clean shaven.
Cleaning Time--Aug. 28, 12:30 p.m. A man who witnesses described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, walked out of a store on Hamilton Avenue with a $300 vacuum cleaner in tow. An employee tried to stop the suspect, but the man fled in a teal green 4-door sedan. The suspect is described as about 170 pounds with short brown hair and wearing an orange T-shirt with blue jeans.
