Police Blotter
Fight--Sept. 16, 6:30 a.m. A man and a woman went out drinking and got into an argument early the next morning. The man tried to get away and pushed the woman. He locked himself in the bedroom. The woman tried to gain entry. She was issued an emergency restraining order, and moved out of the house. A report was filed.
High Jumper--Sept. 15, 10:13 p.m. A woman who was home alone heard noises in the backyard. She called the police and then saw the suspect in the backyard. He jumped over the fence into an adjacent yard.
Lost and Found--Sept. 18, 1 p.m. Police found a black 1999 Honda Accord in a parking lot on Winchester Boulevard. It had been stolen from a Santa Clara bar 10 days earlier when the victim left his keys on the bar.
Two Birds--Sept. 19, 7:30 a.m. Police went to a man's home to serve a $25,000 arrest warrant. He was located in a trailer in the driveway. He was arrested and booked. During the investigation, police found another man in the rear of the cottage. He was found to have a traffic warrant for $2,466 and a county ordinance warrant for $97. A notice to appear in court was issued.
Anti-Marlboro Man--Sept. 19, 11:53 p.m. A man became upset with a woman. He pried a cigarette from her hands and pushed her into a car. He then kicked her legs and slammed the car door, shattering the window. The victim sustained minor injuries. Marijuana was found at the scene. The man was booked.
Embezzlement--Sept. 20, 10 p.m. The first suspect, a juvenile who works at a store on Hamilton Avenue has been repeatedly giving hundreds of dollars in cash to the second suspect, another juvenile who comes to the store for minor transactions. Due to major cash losses for the past month and a half, security has been observing the suspected employee. Both were placed under private persons arrest by security. The first suspect was referred to the juvenile probation department and the second was booked.
Theft--Sept. 20, 11:59 p.m. A suspect entered a music store on Bascom Avenue and concealed $100 worth of CDs in his pants. He was caught by security, cited and released.
