The dream commute

Supermarket cards tell secrets

    Speak Out

Kitty cats, at least, kindly cover up

I just had to send in a comment regarding Jennifer Fernandes' letter about cats pooping in her yard ("Speak Out," Sept. 29).

She asks people to properly restrain their cats to their own yards or to "properly train them." Ha! That's funny! I assume that she wasn't trying to be humorous, though. I think she was actually serious!

First off, dear Jennifer, I suggest you cover your child's sandbox like the rest of the sane world does! I bought one with a cute matching cover for my son.

I would much rather have a cat poop in my yard (and believe me, there is no way to keep a cat in one yard--please! That's a joke) than a dog. At least a cat kindly covers up what it's done rather than leaving a steaming pile there to attract flies!
