    Police Blotter

    Hide and Seek--Oct. 4, 12:24 a.m. A man was driving west on Winchester Boulevard while intoxicated. He turned too wide onto Campbell Avenue and ran into a power pole. He exited his vehicle, ran to the south side of a nearby store and hid three bindles of methamphetamine, which the store clerk observed. He was booked by police.

    Bad Back--Oct. 4, 12:40 p.m. Police attempted to stop a suspect who ran a red light at Winchester and Kennedy. The driver pulled into a driveway. Police pulled in behind him. Without looking, the driver then backed into the police vehicle. There were no injuries.

    Bus Stop Struggle--Oct. 4, 9:04 a.m. A transient woman got into a verbal argument with a victim at a VTA bus stop on Winchester. The woman pushed the victim aside and then kicked the victim in the chest as the victim was boarding the bus. The woman was removed from the bus and she left the scene. Police found her at a nearby gas station. She was booked.

    Do Not Disturb--Oct. 3, 4 p.m. A man staying at the Pruneyard Inn had not answered his door or phone for three days. He had not been eating, and had been drinking and possibly using prescription medication. When he was contacted inside the room, he was found to be semi-responsive. He was taken to emergency protective services.

    Suicide Attempt--Oct. 2, 9:54 p.m. A woman cut her throat with a kitchen knife over a breakup with her boyfriend. She partially severed her jugular vein on the right side of her neck. She was taken to the Valley Medical Center emergency room and then to emergency protective services.

    Separation Anxiety--Sept. 30, 1:13 a.m. A man and woman who have been separated for four months have continued to see one another. When the woman went to see the man, there was another woman with him and she became upset. She began yelling and screaming threats. A report was taken.

    Beating Around the Bush--Sept. 30, 2:06 a.m. A San Jose man got into a fight at Taco Bravo, then fled. When police tried to stop him, he hid behind a bush. He then resisted arrest while police tried to handcuff him. He was booked.
