    'The Forgotten Pollinators'

    The University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will host a lecture and slide presentation by noted author Steven Buckmann on Oct. 19, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Campbell Community Center, 1 W. Campbell Ave.

    Based at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson, Ariz., the Forgotten Pollinators Campaign is a multimedia effort to call international attention to the critical role pollination plays in putting food on the table and in maintaining healthy wild communities around the world.     Husky Club giving animal treatment tips

    The Bay Area Siberian Husky Club will sponsor a First Aid for Pets class on Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Campbell. The class will cover almost everything covered in a regular CPR class for humans, including how to stop bleeding, basic first aid, CPR and how to restrain and muzzle a pet.
