City should take harder look at townhomes plan

I was happy to see that the Campbell Reporter covered the story of the construction propsed in my neighborhood. I did have a few comments, though.

The vote on this application was 3-2, not 4-1. In fact, it narrowly passed. Commissioner Hernandez also voted against this development. He and Commissioner Jones expressed some reservations about the continuing medium and high density proposals that have come before the planning commision. The final vote cast was a hesitant yes, as that commissioner (whose name I have misplaced) was similarly concerned, but found this development proposal to be an adequate compromise.

I did not file an appeal, but have expressed my concerns to the city council. I hope that council members will vote to return this to the planning commission for review and revisions. I believe many of my neighbors are united in their concern about the future of our neighborhood.
