    High school students take their parents out for the night


    None of my friends really think it's cool to go to the Father-Daughter/Mother-Son Dance, but my half-sister Tara Lee is going. She's a senior and she's cool, so it'll be fun," said Samantha Molloy, a bright and attractive 15-year-old sophomore at Westmont High School who brought Rick Angelo, her stepfather of five years, as her date. For the dozens of couples attending the Hawaiian-themed dance on Oct. 17, whether father-daughter or mother-son, Angelo's sentiments rang true. For most of the primarily freshman, sophomore and senior students attending, this event was their official night out with their parents.   More
