    King's Head to host Tempest

    Campbell's King's Head Pub, 201 Orchard City Drive, is hosting Oakland-based Tempest in concert Nov. 14 at 8 p.m.

    The 12-year-old band plays a blend of rock, Irish jigs and reels, Norwegian traditional music, Scottish ballads and original compositions dealing with mythology and history. Tempest is made up of a Norwegian singer with a double-necked mandolin, a Cuban drummer, an electric fiddler, a bassist and a guitarist, who together perform music with Celtic, Pan-European and American influences.

    City of Campbell holding craft fair

    Campbell's Department of Recreation is sponsoring a holiday craft fair Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Campbell Community Center's Orchard City Hall, 1 W. Campbell Ave.

    The fair features only handcrafted items for sale by more than 60 local artisans--all the artisan booths are full. Santa Claus will visit with children at noon. Admission and parking are free. For more information, call 408.866.2108.
