    Quito Little League

    The Quito Little League will hold signups for the 2000 spring baseball season on Nov. 16 and 18, 6:30-9 p.m., and Nov. 20, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m., at Rolling Hills Middle School on Pollard Road at More Avenue in Los Gatos.

    The league is open to boys and girls ages 5-12 (as of July 31, 2000). Players' parents must provide a PG&E bill and driver's license for proof of residency and the child's birth certificate for proof of age.

    Players from parts of Campbell, Los Gatos and Saratoga are eligible for the league. For more information, call 408.943.4707 or contact the league's website at www.quitoll.org.

    Roller hockey leagues

    The Southwest YMCA will host Saturday morning roller hockey leagues for beginner and intermediate players ages 6-11. League play begins Jan. 8, and there will be one weeknight practice each week. The cost is $80, plus program membership. For more information, call 408.370.1877, ext. 19.

    Run for the Law

    Run for the Law, a 5K walk and 10K run, will be held Nov. 7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the West Valley Courthouse, 14205 Capri Drive in Los Gatos.

    The entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the event. The race will also feature a special corporate challenge.

    The courthouse is on the corner of Capri and Knowles, one block north of Winchester between Los Gatos and Campbell.

    Pony League elections

    The Campbell Pony League will hold elections for its board of directors on Nov. 19. The league is looking for candidates for president, vice president and treasurer, and there are also openings in the league for managers and coaches.

    The Pony League holds meetings the first and third Tuesdays of each month at John D. Morgan Park. For more information, call Mike Mooney at 408.559.1342.

    Sweet shots

    Basketball players will learn better shooting techniques at the Sweeten Your Shot Camp to be held in Tiffin Gym at San Jose Christian College. Camps are slated for Nov. 5, 5-8 p.m., and Nov. 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., for players ages 10-18.
