Talk of the Town
By Sarah Gaffney
Q. Daylight savings time added an extra hour to our day this past Sunday. If you were given an extra hour every day to do whatever you wanted to do, what would you do? Follow-up: What's your favorite way to spend a rainy day?
(asked at the Westmont High School homecoming parade)

I wouldn't be at work, I know that. I wouldn't want to be at work for an extra hour each day. I'd probably exercise. I exercise now but not as much as I'd like to 'cause I'm working eight hours every day and that doesn't give me much time to do anything. With an extra hour, I'd be out there walking or riding my bike. Lazy day? Being on the couch and watching television. Watching old movies all day.

I'd sleep. I don't get enough sleep now. I've got a healthy sleep deficit that could use that extra hour to kill it. Kicking back? Reading a book. That's all it takes to be lazy.

I think I'd go party. I'd party for an hour. I would go party with my friends for an hour. I'm like very social so I'd be like all over. It would be every night from like nine to ten. Even on school nights. I stay up late every day so it wouldn't really matter. Easy living? Stay in bed and watch movies all day. And I eat like 24-seven. I like to eat Kraft cheese cubes. They're really good. They're my favorite food.

I would sleep. I'd add that extra hour to my sleep each night. Hanging ten? Read a book and listen to music. A good science fiction book while on the recliner and listening to music. I could do that for three hours at a time.
