    Police Blotter

    Confrontation--Nov. 3, 7:58 a.m. A man broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and confronted her new boyfriend. He threatened to kill the new boyfriend, pushed in through a door that she was trying to close to keep him out, and then kept the woman trapped inside against her will. He already had a warrant for his arrest for prior harassment of the same victim. Police located the man hiding in the bathroom at the place of his employment.

    Double Take--Nov. 3, 10:07 p.m. A man attempted to steal $770 worth of merchandise from a Winchester Boulevard grocery store. He made two trips to load the merchandise into his truck, and was cornered by employees. He fled on foot and all property was recovered. The suspect was identified in a photo lineup. When police attempted to contact the suspect at his residence, he refused to open the door. The case was referred to the district attorney.

    Face Value--Nov. 3, 3:30 p.m. After giving a facial massage to an undercover officer, the suspect was cited for not having a license to perform facial massages.

    Shoplifting--Nov. 5, 4:15 a.m. Two suspects were seen leaving a Hamilton Avenue pharmacy shortly after an internal alarm sounded from behind the cash register counter. Employees determined that cigarettes and batteries had been taken. Police later found suspects down the street with the items in their possession. Both were booked.

    Bad Trip--Nov. 5, 4:35 a.m. A man called 911 while he was apparently hallucinating. He was extremely paranoid. Police determined that the man was on a methamphetamine binge. He was booked.

    Disturbance--Nov. 6, 1:25 a.m. Police received a report that a woman was playing her car stereo too loudly. She had been drinking. She was booked for being drunk in public.

    Clean Sweep--Nov. 7. Police cleaned out a homeless encampment in the bushes near a Catalapa Avenue home. No one was found there.

    Rock n' Ransack--Nov. 7, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. An unknown suspect entered a home by breaking a window with a rock. The suspect then ransacked the house and stole some money.
