Local fly-caster
needs help

Campbell resident Tony Yap as part of a
five-member fly-casting team to represent the

Cambrian School District wins award
The Cambrian School District, which serves
many Campbell families, was one of 23 school
districts nationwide to receive a 2002 Magna
Award from the American School Board Journal
(ASBJ).
The district was recognized for its
"continuous improvement" approach to
learning, which consistently helps students
in the district achieve some of the area's
highest scores on statewide tests.
The ASBJ Magna awards were established in
1995 to recognize local school boards that
use innovative approaches to improve
educational programs. Winners are selected by
an independent panel of educators and school
board members.
