Battery—March 15, 11:10 a.m. An unknown person got into an argument with another individual at a gas station on S. Bascom Avenue. The suspect slammed the car door on the victim's leg. The victim followed the individual until authorities located the perpetrator heading eastbound on Hamilton Avenue near Llewellyn Avenue. One of the officers tried to stop the suspect, but the person fled eastbound on Hamilton Avenue and then turned northbound on Winchester Boulevard. The authorities discontinued their pursuit because of the potential danger of traveling at a high speed and running red lights on congested streets. The suspect's vehicle is described as a silver 2002 Pontiac Firebird.

Domestic Violence—March 14, 3 a.m. A man in an apartment on Railway Avenue was upset that a woman wanted to separate. The man was intoxicated and became violent, grabbing the woman about the arms and causing deep bruises. He also bit her on the wrist and finger, tearing her skin. The woman left the apartment and called the authorities from a gas station on Salmar Avenue. When the officer arrived the man had fled the apartment. The woman declined to have an emergency restraining order issued and left the apartment for the night. Authorities filed a felony affidavit.

Theft—March 13, 7:10 p.m. A 27-year-old man stole music CDs and video games from a store on E. Hamilton Avenue. He was cited.
