Like the slow aging of a fine wine, furniture develops a stronger sense of character and flavor through time. But once every decade or so, it may need a facelift—new upholstery. Campbell is home to some of the last bastions of this dying craft, with two small, family-run stores delivering quality work while keeping the art alive.

| In a decisive 6-1 vote, the Campbell Planning Commission recently denied the approval of a four-story, 95-room, extended-stay Marriott hotel on the site where Andy's Oakwood Bar-B-Que is currently located.
