Pete Best might not have the same name recognition as John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, but he was an integral part of the original Beatles until he was dismissed without a reason in 1962. Today Best heads up the Pete Best Band, which has toured widely and comes to Campbell on July 23.  More

Heritage Theatre Save Our Schools SolarBee
The restoration of the Heritage Theatre is well on its way to completion, with its grand opening scheduled for early 2004. But the committee heading up the project is still looking for donations to finish the project.  More Following the failure of Measure B, concerned residents have begun a campaign to help the Campbell Union School District through its budget crisis. Using the momentum from the Measure B campaign, these residents are hoping to raise $500,000 for the 2003-04 school year through "Save Our Schools," or SOS.  More The Santa Clara Valley Water District recently installed a solar-powered water circulation unit in the Budd Avenue groundwater recharge pond to establish if solar power makes for a better cleaning system than chemicals.  More
