The waiting is over, Buca changes name
The dispute over naming rights has ended, with little Buca, the fine-dining bistro at 2801 S. Winchester Blvd., no longer battling with Buca di Beppo, a restaurant chain with one of its locations in the Pruneyard Shopping Center.
Buca Restaurant and Fine Catering has changed its name to Restaurant "O" Catering and Tasting Room.
Its name might be changing, but not its dining experience, which executive chef Justin Perez plans to enhance. He still intends "to provide culinary experiences that are out of the ordinary and fondly memorable," he said.
Perez is also expanding the menu to include his "eclectic culinary whims," lighten the portions and lower the pricing. The quaint, 50-seat bistro will continue to provide a menu based on Perez's Italian roots and the unique tradition of changing the menu selection with the changing seasons.
The bistro is also expanding its services to offer "pours" of Perez's favorite locally made wines. Guests will be able to sample a variety of vineyard offerings from many of the local Santa Cruz Mountains wineries.

City lowers parking fines, reduced $20
Two years ago, Campbell wanted to discourage people in the historic downtown area from parking more than the time allotted. So the city voted to raise the parking fines to a costly $50 per citation.
But after the significant increase, the city received a number of complaints and has since lowered the fine. Now if someone parks longer than the permitted time, it will cost him or her $30. The new fine, which is already in effect, is more consistent with those of neighboring cities. The fee for stored parking or parking more than 72 hours remains at $55.
