Grand Theft—Aug. 30, 3:55 p.m. Two men stole two new bicycles that were locked to a bike rack in front of a bike store on S. Bascom Avenue by cutting a cable. The men fled southbound on Bascom Avenue. They were described as in their 20s and Hispanic.
Shoplifting—Aug. 30, 12:16 p.m. A 50-year-old man stole $220 worth of merchandise from an electronics store on E. Hamilton Avenue. The store's security personnel stopped him. He was booked.
Burglary—Aug. 29, 3:30 a.m.7:30 a.m. An unknown person opened the wing window of a 1976 Chevrolet utility vehicle parked on Railway Avenue and stole high-pressure sodium lights.
Strong-Arm Robbery—Aug. 28, 10:14 p.m. A 32-year-old man was walking through the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on W. Campbell Avenue when a Hispanic man in his 20s asked him for a cigarette. The first man turned around and the Hispanic man ripped a chain off the other man's neck, fleeing southbound.
Assault—Aug. 28, 5:21 p.m. A 46-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman got into an argument on S. Curtner Avenue. He pushed over his motorcycle, which struck the woman, knocking her to the ground. She then got into her car and ran over the motorcycle with her vehicle. The man was booked.
Sexual Battery—Aug. 27, 3:30 p.m.4 p.m. A woman met a man at a pool on Nido Drive. She agreed to go to his apartment for a soda. Once in the apartment, he locked the door, fondled the woman, and would not let her leave. She managed to get away. He was booked.
