Shoplifting—July 11, 11:56 a.m. A 34-year-old man was caught shoplifting from a store on E. Hamilton Avenue. He also had outstanding theft warrants.
Assault—June 10, 7:50 p.m. During a verbal argument on Gamma Court, a 28-year-old man choked and pushed another individual. He was arrested.
Hit and Run—July 10, 4:15 p.m. A 42-year-old woman in the parking lot of a home-improvement store on E. Hamilton Avenue backed into a pedestrian, pinning her between the driver's vehicle and a mail truck. The driver fled the scene, and the victim sustained leg injuries and was transported to Valley Medical Center. The driver was later located on Salmar Avenue and positively identified by a witness. The driver was intoxicated and was arrested.
Indecent Exposure—July 10, 5 a.m. A man wearing a sweatshirt and no pants was riding a bicycle on the Los Gatos Creek Trail and masturbating. This occurred northeast of Bascom Avenue.
Vehicle Burglary—June 10. An unknown person shattered the window of a vehicle parked at the intersection of Sunnyoaks and Dell avenues. The person stole an AM/FM/CD car stereo and CDs.
Arson—July 8, 1:47 a.m. A Mitsubishi Eclipse parked in a driveway on Virginia Avenue caught on fire. The Santa Clara County Fire Department labeled the fire's cause as arson based on where the car ignited and the burn patterns.
