Auto Burglary—July 18, 910:30 p.m. An unknown person smashed the window of a Ford Expedition parked in a restaurant lot on S. Bascom Avenue. A wallet, purse and house keys were stolen.
Domestic Violence—July 18, 7:45 p.m. A woman living on Union Avenue reported to police that her roommate threatened to kill her. An emergency protective restraining order was issued.
Possession of Firearm—July 18, 4 p.m. A 31-year-old man was arrested for possession of dope pipes and a shotgun during a domestic-violence investigation.
Auto Burglary—July 17, 5:05 a.m. Three youths described as no older than 14 and with very short hair broke the window of a vehicle parked in an apartment complex off S. San Tomas Aquino Road. The owner of the vehicle heard the window break and had her son chase the youths through the complex to the west end, where they threatened the man with knives. They then fled over the north wall and escaped.
Shoplifting—July 17, 9:30 p.m. A 26-year-old woman and a 30-year-old woman were caught shoplifting from a clothing store on Hamilton Avenue. The women were arrested.
Drunken Driving—July 17, 2 a.m. A 24-year-old man was stopped on S. Bascom Avenue for a traffic violation and arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Stolen Vehicle—July 17, 2:37 a.m. A 15-year-old and a 12-year-old were seen by the Campbell police driving a 1990 Honda Accord with no lights on Cherry Lane. The Honda had been stolen from San Jose. One youth was cited and sent home with his parent. The other youth was booked into juvenile hall because authorities were unable to locate his guardian.
Drug Influence—July 15, 8:35 p.m. A 55-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were fighting in a parking lot on Kennedy Road. The 55-year-old hit the 32-year-old with a wooden broom handle. The younger man then kicked the door open to the older man's business. Both men were allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine, and the drug was located on the ground where they were fighting. Both men were uncooperative and were arrested.
