No Blue tryouts

The Campbell Blue fast pitch softball tryouts set for Saturday, Aug. 14, have been cancelled. The 12 and under team will not participate in a fall season, as previously publicized.

 


Crush tryouts

The Campbell Crush girls 12 and under fast pitch softball team is holding tryouts for the fall and 2005 seasons. For more information, call Craig at 408.296.3820.

 


Camp With The Pros

A "Camp With the Pros" summer baseball camp will be held Aug. 16­20 at the Lincoln Glen Little League field. Cost is $129 per camper and camp hours are 9 a.m.­1 p.m. each day.

Instructors include camp director Roger Samuels, a former pitcher for the San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates; Mark Cummins, a former professional infielder and the longtime head baseball coach at Live Oak High School; and Ernie Broglio, a former 20-game winner for the St.

Quito Fall Ball

Registration for Quito Little League's Fall Ball baseball season ends Aug. 20. Games are played on Sunday afternoons, Sept. 12 through Oct. 31, at Rolling Hills Middle School. Players aged 8­12 are eligible. The registration fee of $50 per player includes a T-shirt and cap. The league operates with a non-competitive, instructional format. Vintage baseball

A new vintage baseball league for players aged 18-55 is being formed. Teams will play with the rules, equipment and uniforms of 1886. Games are not planned to be competitive, but will be designed for people who want to learn about the history of baseball. U9 boys team

The West Valley Thunderbolts, a competitive Class 3 boys Under 9 soccer team, seeks players looking to take the next step from recreational soccer.
