Clark 4-miler set
The second Marshall Clark 4-Miler, an event named in memory of a former Saratoga High School running coach to benefit the school's cross country program, is set for 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22.
The race, which will wind through neighborhoods surrounding Saratoga High, starts and finishes at the school's track. A $20 entry fee includes a T-shirt. There are seven age groups for both male and female competitors, 12 and under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+. The first three finishers in each group will receive awards.
Hari Subramaniam and Becki Kriege were the overall winners of last year's race. Subramaniam, now a senior at Saratoga, covered the four-mile course in 22 minutes, 42 seconds. Kriege, in the 30-39 class, ran 24:40 to finish first among women.

Crush fundraiser
A car wash to raise funds for the Campbell Crush 12 and under tournament team will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Del Taco on Hamilton Ave.
Lady Sharks softball

Quito Fall Ball
Registration for Quito Little League's Fall Ball baseball season ends Aug. 20. Games are played on Sunday afternoons, Sept. 12 through Oct. 31, at Rolling Hills Middle School. Players aged 812 are eligible. The registration fee of $50 per player includes a T-shirt and cap. The league operates with a non-competitive, instructional format.
